5 Tips for A More Positive Life

Sometimes, when life gets messy or rough or overwhelming, we neglect the things that make us happy and healthy. We eat more junk, we drink less water, we sleep less. And it all adds up to an unhappy, unhealthy you. So when everything seems to be out of control, here’s a few tips that you can use to make sure you still have a happy, healthy, positive life.

5 Tips for A More Positive Life

  1. DRINK WATER

Guys, I’m begging you. No matter what, do NOT neglect your water. It is absolutely vital for your health, and if it is neglected, dehydration can hit you really hard and really fast. Set several alarms to drink water, get an app that reminds you, get a special water bottle just for you. Just make sure you’re drinking 7-8 glasses a day.

  1. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
I’m speaking from personal experience when I say that the amount of sleep you get can make or break your life. I used to stay up all night long doing who knows what, and sleep all day. It took a toll on my health, physical and mental. One day, I decided I would get back on a healthy sleep schedule, and I cannot tell you how much better I feel. I wake up earlier, have more energy to get everything done that I need to, and I can go to bed with the satisfaction of a great day. Sleep can affect everything from how you physically feel to your skin to your mental health. Just try as best you can to get 6-8 hours of sleep each night.

  1. TAKE  A BREAK

You cannot go through life day after day without stopping to take a break. It’s essential that you stop, even if it’s five minutes a day, and just breathe. You have to make time to commit to yourself and your well being. Whatever taking a break means to you, do it. Just for a few minutes a day.

  1. REMEMBER THE BIG PICTURE
When life gets crazy, one of the most important things to do is stop and remember how blessed and lucky you are. Think of at least three things you’re thankful for, and meditate on those things for a few minutes. Paying attention to the big picture can really change how you feel about the small problems around you.

  1. SMILE

If all else fails, just smile. Take a step back, and just smile for a little bit. Because as Phyllis Diller once said, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.”

That’s all for today! See you guys tomorrow.

Have a lovely day,

Hannah
